Fauvism Update and New Nuno


Here’s a photo of the dried piece I showed last time which I made for the Fauvism Challenge:

It has much more life now it’s dry, but is still lacking detail. I ordered a darning foot for my machine so I can try and add some more detail after I’ve practised a bit!

I wanted to make some felt pieces inspired by the nuno samples I made not so long ago, using small amounts of wool and lots of fulling. I thought the technique would make perfect felt pieces for something like money purses which are handled a lot. I thought I’d stick to single colours because of the wool migration, and started with green, simply because the last thing I made was green, and my netting hadn’t been put away!
